Applicant comments: Originally it was intended that GB7PT would provide multimode coverage for the above area for all modes via the MMDVM system, with connectivity to Phoenix, AND Brandmeister through the magic of DMR Gateway. However, Fusion users found it difficult to access, and the committee of the Cambridgeshire Repeater Group took the decision to fix GB7PT to Fusion/YSF mode. The action as resulted in a loss of DMR coverage in the M11 corridor from Duxford south, and the loss of coverage for NXDN, P25, and non-Icom G3 gateway users (DCS/XLX, etc.)
The applicant has given the following description of intended coverage: Similar coverage to GB3PI/GB7PT covering central and southern Cambridgeshire, parts of West Suffolk, North West Essex, North East Hertfordshire, and East Beds.
